MSUFCU Increases Financial Education Opportunities and Accessibility

2024 created new opportunities for MSUFCU to extend our reach when it comes to applicable and accessible financial education. Throughout the year, we hosted over 30,000 attendees at the 1,395 sessions offered throughout our consistent programs and support in the community including MSU and OU campuses.

Focused on one of our core values, Giving Back to the Community, financial educators increased outreach and accessibility in 2024. Seminar Series, which offers free workshops for MSUFCU and community partners, transitioned to a year-round format with mostly virtual, recorded sessions to allow people to learn at their leisure. The Wallet Watch podcast allowed listeners from 23 countries to audibly learn more about finances and how the Credit Union can support while also offering transcripts for each episode. Increasing our impact with youth members, FUNtivity Zone relaunched making fun age-appropriate content that families can utilize in educational financial conversations. MSUFCU also hosted two cohorts of The Culture of Finances offering more virtual sessions to allow those interested around the country to join with family members and increase generational financial relationships.
