MSUFCU was honored to be the Volunteer Sponsor of the 6th Annual Izzo Legacy Race, which took place on Sunday, April 27, 2025, on the beautiful campus of Michigan State University. The event brought together more than 7,000 runners, walkers, rollers, and supporters who came out to celebrate the incredible legacy of Coach Tom Izzo and to support the Izzo Legacy Foundation.
Race day featured a variety of events to engage participants of all ages and abilities, including a 5K Run/Walk, 5K Roll, 1/2 K Walk/Roll, Kids Races, and a Virtual 5K. From families pushing strollers, groups of friends walking together, and seasoned runners racing towards their personal goals, the atmosphere was filled with enthusiastic energy and Spartan pride.
MSUFCU employees were excited to volunteer their time, along with several of our Women of Sparta athletes to welcome participants at the finish line. Together, they passed out medals and offered words of encouragement. Their presence reflected MSUFCU’s ongoing commitment to giving back and staying engaged in our communities.
The Izzo Legacy Race continues to be a powerful tribute to coach Izzo’s commitment to leadership, community, and giving back. MSUFCU is grateful to be part of such a meaningful tradition that brings people together for a great cause and strengthens the Spartan community.
